Notes: This is my unofficial guide for the ARG Chasing the Wish which ran from Feb 28th 2003 to August 28th 2003. Looking back I can't believe that I actually stuck with and finished this guide all the way to the end - not because I didn't enjoy CTW, but simply because there was alot of information to keep track of for 6 months of ARG. When I recently decided to reformat it, I thought about making it look sexier and easier to navigate. I quickly changed my mind when I really got into the process and realized how much work it would take. So sorry but you'll have to live with the basic text. Many of the links that I used when writing the guide are no longer valid. If the sites are ever archived and available somewhere, I'll make sure and update the links. Other than that... enjoy!

Dale sends out this email which leads us to his company's website www.synthasia.com

After searching through synthasia's website we find Dale's old company's website www.anonymousfame.com, the Aglaura, NJ homepage, and a prototype website for Mid-Jersey Mobile.

The Mid-Jersey Mobile page at first seemed like only a prototype, but after finding some interesting text throughout the dummy text on the pages we do a little simple substitution and get a message from Dale: log in with user readonly and pass helpme for more info dale

We go to the synthasia log-in and gain access to Dale's personal emails. As you will see later, this continues to be a valuable resource throughout the game.

Looking at anonymousfame's website we find another site, Emptythreats.com which seems to be advertising the restaurant/bar of the same name. It is owned by Marzano Enterprises.

The Aglaura, NJ homepage has some information about the town and many of the businesses in town. These will prove to be more important later on.

We continue to look at synthasia's site a bit more and find that Dale has hidden some other clues for us. We find an aquarium and then the sliding picture puzzle which leads us to his personal diary from January and February. Check here for a version that is a bit easier on the eyes.

From Dale's account in his diary, we find the Ash Grove Park site.

After we have had time to digest this flood of new game info, we notice that Dale has gotten a few new emails. One is from Collective Protective Insurance, Dale's insurance provider. The email notifies Dale that they are processing his claim from the night of the accident. The CP Insurance site explains that they can provide an online account access page at the request of the account holder. If we find Dale's account number we can access his records!

Another email is from Sam, the webmaster for Aglaura's website. He tells Dale that he has added a few things to synthasia.com and will be posting a link to a news article about Dale's accident soon.
